Fast, well-priced CPU for home or gaming use
Running on BIOS "Auto" settings, the 11700K performs well, especially when doing large recalcs in spreadsheets, where all 16 cores are stressed. Not too impressed with the overclocking abilities though. It may be my motherboard (Gigabyte Z590i Aorus Ultra), but the PC just reset when I tried a higher clock speed (and I have a very good CPU water cooler). Does the job well.
I Bought this for overclocking and it is the highest CPU for my motherboard. I up graded from a i5 10100F CPU. I did this upgrade to play the new game last of us on computer.
